Education & Employment

Medway College of Art & Design1968 - 1972
St Lukes College of Education1973 - 1975

I worked from 1975 until 2002 as an art teacher, which I left to concentrate on developing my own work. The main focus for this work has been reflections on natural forms and landscapes, our interactions with and within them and subsequently the fragile balance that we do, or try to, hold together.
Both my painting and printmaking (etching & collagraphs) are mainly abstract & explore my interest in colour and texture.
I have not lost my links with education and community work. I give private painting lessons, run a local evening class and have worked in our three local prisons with both prisoners and their families.
Throughout my career I have also illustrated books and magazines, including material for community education projets and sex education material.
Most of my paintings and prints sold are in small private collections in Britain, Europe and Australia
